Liminal World
Gina‘s exhibition Liminal World opens at the Hoopers Gallery, London at the end of January.
This exhibition consists of thirty colour pinhole photographs drawn from a much larger body of work begun nine years ago. Here Gina searches for locations around the world which can convey the threshold between inner and outer worlds, time and impermanency.
These pieces have been selected by Shirley Read to bring together specific moments of liminality so that we may ask ourselves not only about the nature of photographic representation and the role of the photographer in this, but also about our relationship to time and our need to step out of the rush of contemporary life in order to understand it.
